The Oswestry Energy Fair aimed to increase awareness of the environmental, economic and social issues that are influencing our energy supplies, and to demonstrate practical steps that each of us can take.
The Energy Fair consisted of displays, workshops and a series of lectures that cover such technologies as solar thermal, wood boilers, ground source heat pumps, mini wind turbines and hydropower.
To coincide with Energy Saving Week the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital hosted an energy fair on Saturday 29TH October 2005.

Alongside the lectures, a number of relevant local industries demonstrated their capabilities in the adjoining hall along with energy efficiency advice and displays from a number of environmental groups. There was a number of activities for children, planning permission advice and the opportunity to view Biofuel and Hybrid car technology.
