We are one of the five NHS specialist orthopaedic hospitals in the UK. Specialisation is the future for medicine, as people become more informed and happy to travel if necessary to get orthopaedic treatment. We are a neuro-musculo-skeletal service with over forty specialist doctors. Patients come for both NHS and other insurance companies as we have excellent private facilities. PPP, BUPA and other companies are good supports as we provide high quality and are efficient with our costs as complications such as infection here are rare. I particularly like to work here because the hospital staffs all work together to give good care. The theatres are unique and provide a range of implants and equipment that are unmatched in the country, in particular in having a cell culture laboratory on site which supports the cell engineering techniques I am developing with the scientists here.
