Oscell : Brian Ashton, Karen Ashton and Paul Harrison developed this service at Oswestry 10 years ago. It is a GMP laboratory built with funding from the Institute of Orthopaedics.

Eurocell is a network of similar laboratories in hospitals around the world, initiated with European funding.
 

ACTIVE is a trial of cartilage repair funded by the MRC. It is run by Heather Smith and includes over 12 centres in the UK and also Norway
