Ice in the sea is meting, but floating ice in your glass does not significantly change the water level as it melts...this is Archimedes' principle.

Ice on land is melting however, and running off into the sea. So will sea levels not rise?

Here is a thought...

1. As ice and snow on land melt and run off, so the land mass gets lighter.

2. As melted ice is added to the seas, they will get heavier.

3. All ocean beds, and land masses sit on magma, a hot liquid.

4. We were taught in school that liquids are incompressible (or at least they resist compression).

So, with time, the magma will flow under the land masses, and the ocean beds will sink, and so sea levels will fall!

Could be good for those living by the sea. I predict however that small islands inthe middle of large seas however, will go down with the ocean floor. So for these islands the sea levels will appear to rise, unfortunately.

Any plate tectologists out there comment!

Another bit of evidence comes from that excellent book by Menzies, 1421 the year China discovered the world. Good evidence that warming was present then, and Greenland could be circumnavigated. Also however the sea levels were significantly lower. So it happened before and will happen again?

The type I identify as a problem is the type that results form people not being trusted to make decisions. This is a major problem in the health service, and it seems fairly universal, from school to farm to police to house building. The rate of increase has been fast over the last ten years. At some point life as we know it must come to a halt - because there will be a gridlock.

Some of the problem has come from Government where appearance is more important than content. 'Frantic management' is a term used by Frank Burke, hand surgeon in Derby, to describe it. This has contributed a lot of the problem. It is time for in-depth management. Call in Toyota style management?

Bil Femoral fractures

Bil Femoral fractures
